Materials – fine silk, linen, merino wool
Technique – handwoven on a unique complex loom.
Dimensions – @180cm x 35cm
Care – Hand wash in approved wool wash, dry flat. Dry cleanable. Delicate item, take care when wearing jewellery.
The Tessellate series of scarves and wraps are hand-woven in the studio and explore geometry found in nature – in geology, rocks, gems, minerals and architecture inspired by nature. The patterns are woven in repeat into the structure and surface of the weave, interlocking two layers woven simultaneously, producing a reversible scarf or wrap. Intricate, with a focus on line and space between, these gorgeous pieces are highly versatile and trans-seasonal, using fine silk threads in the warp on the loom.
